I'm learning that patience pays off. And, persistence. And, maybe a little pluckiness, too. I totally am not going to lie. I used a thesaurus to get that alliteration.
I'm in love with a typewriter. There, I've said it. It's probably the only thing that gets as many loving glances as Thomas.
I found the vintage typewriter I've been looking for. I even haggled the price down $10. Getting pretty plucky, aren't I?
So, I mean to use it for some scrap booking projects as well as some wedding details {and ambiance!}.
It's in perfect condition; just needed a little cleaning.
Who knows? Maybe I'll even get that novel typed up and sent off....

I had one in France for typing papers because I needed accents and hate writing things out long hand but it ended up being completely broken in just a few short weeks of pounding away. So I wrote it all out long hand! Just like every other student (because no one, and I mean no one, types things up in uni in France).
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how hard I have to punch the keys! My fingers will surely get a workout :) I can SO imagine you in France using a typewriter!
ReplyDeleteI was at a wedding last weekend and they had everyone type their entries into the guest book on an old typewriter. It was so cute! I didn't mess up too bad either LOL
ReplyDeleteSo wedding and dress huh? In the same sentence? You should email me.
wedding and dress in the SAME sentence. will write more soon!
DeleteBeautiful typewriter! I love a typewriter, too. I bought a vintage Royal portable this year, and I adore it for writing poetry.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm excited to see you on the NaBloPoMo list! Are you a regular? This is my first month. It's neat to see someone I "know" on there.
I'm so glad you let me know you're participating! I've done NaBloPoMo a few times every November since I started blogging in 2006. It's always a STRUGGLE as I never seem to think my content is interesting enough but I hope it's something I'll get better at. Looking forward to reading your posts!
